Your wedding does not need to be a family reunion. The only people who should be there are the ones who have been there to support both of you in your relationship together. If your guests are only there because you felt obligated to invite them, they will take up mental space and will take away from your ability to be fully present throughout the day.

When your wedding day itinerary has more wiggle room, you have the space you need to take it all in. If you are feeling rushed and like you need to follow a strict timeline, you can't possibly be in the moment. Don't stress your self out trying to plan the day down to the minute. Think about the things that are a priority to you both and plan your day around those things.
